Appleby's Apple Day - October 19th

As part of Appleby's Apple Day on Saturday 19th October, NCOG will hold a public apple juicing session in Appleby town centre.

On Saturday October 19th, NCOG will hold a public apple juicing session in Appleby town centre as part of Appleby's Apple Day organised in partnership with Appleby Edibles and Appleby Remote Cinema.

Bring your apples - any type, eaters or cookers, clean and not bruised or rotten - to put through our presses. Take home delicious juice to drink or freeze - please bring your own containers,1kg of fruit makes approx 600ml of juice.

Experts will also be on hand to give advice on orchards and apple growing in Cumbria.

Find us by the Moot Hall from 10am to 3pm.

Appleby Remote Cinema are holding their first film festival, Yan Planet (Nae Planet B!), with a theme of sustainability in Appleby Public Hall, including 3 films, a talk by Phil Davies from Cumbria Action For Sustainability and a supper ( must be booked in advance).

Plus market stalls, live music from the BlueJam Folk Group and an Apple Pie Competion at Appleby Hub
