Adam's Permain

EATING

Adam's Pearmain is an older English apple variety dating back to at least 1826, of sadly unknown provenance. It is classic of the Pearmains in being much wider at the top than at the bottom in shape. It is slightly larger than average in size, predominantly red, russet and yellow in colour, with particularly dense and crunchy flesh. Adam's Pearmain is renowned for being particularly juicy and sweet for a dessert apple, with a strong aroma.
