Lorton Village apple day - October 3rd 2026

Apple pressing and stalls at the village school in Lorton, Saturday October 3rd. 10am - 3pm.

A fun day out for adults and kids alike.
We will be pressing for the public (and members). Please make sure that all apples are clean and do not have rot. You will need containers for the juice (at least 500ml per kg).

If you want apples to be identified, please bring in at least 3 of each variety and preferably some leaves too. We may need to take them away for identification - you will need to provide your details.

Among the other planned attractions are:

  • Apple-themed bakes (including apple crumble)

  • Apple games - apple printing, finger paint apple trees, apple toss into hoops, apple lucky dip

  • School photo display over the years plus children's written stories and interview activity.

  • Baked potatoes and Cheese - vegan cheese and butter will be available. From the Pavillion.

  • Teas and coffee - From the Pavilion,

  • Music (TBA)

  • Apple pulp to take away - On close of day to NCOG pressing activity/ by field gate.

Entry is free, but there will be will be a range of apple and apples related produce (including juice and cider) available plus food/refreshments to buy.
